READING, Pa. (AP) -- A Pennsylvania father pulled his daughter's male friend by the hair and chopped off his dreadlocks with a knife after finding the two in his home, police say. Reginald Hardy, 38, admitted he lost his cool when he found his 17-year-old daughter sneaking around with a 19-year-old man inside his own apartment. "I just see people running and he locked himself in the bathroom, and then we got into a little scuffle," Hardy told WFMZ-TV. Hardy punched the young man, grabbed him by the hair and dragged him into the kitchen, where the father grabbed a knife and chopped off the young man's dreadlocks, according to court documents. "That might have been the maddest I ever got because I literally just seen red," said Hardy, apologizing for his actions in the heat of the moment. "I'm a father and I'm looking out for my daughter. That's it," Hardy told WFMZ. Hardy was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and other offenses after police say he saw the 19-year-old sneaking around his apartment Friday with his 17-year-old daughter.
