NEW YORK (AP) -- An animal rights group is asking the Discovery Channel not to air "Eaten Alive," a show planned for next month where a naturalist attempts to get swallowed by a giant snake. The organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says it's concerned the snake was tormented for the sake of ratings. Discovery spokeswoman Laurie Goldberg wouldn't comment on PETA's complaints or give details about the Dec. 7 show. However, Goldberg said the snake is "alive and well." An online clip promoting the show said naturalist Paul Rosolie enters the belly of an anaconda in a custom-built suit. The video features a man, presumably Rosolie, explaining that "you have to go in headfirst."
