MANHEIM, Pa. (AP) -- A 19-year-old woman is safe after being rescued by central Pennsylvania firefighters as she hung from a second-story window of her home near Manheim. LNP reported the Friday morning fire that caused about $15,000 in damage was likely started when a candle tipped over. It broke out near her bedroom door, keeping her from escaping in that direction. The news organization says the woman was hanging from the window when firefighters arrived at the scene. She'd been able to give 911 her location and other details. A dog inside the home was able to escape after firefighters went inside to fight the flames. Officials say the woman was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and to treat injuries sustained in her escape.
