STEWARTSTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- Authorities in York County believe a chiropractor fatally shot himself in a park hours after setting fire to his office.
The York County Coroner's Office says that 54-year-old David Wistort of White Hall, Md., died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
Officials say they were looking for Wistort to inform him of a fire Tuesday at his office in Stewartstown.
They said they found his car about a half-mile away at the Stewartstown Community Fairgrounds, and soon found his body there.
Southern Regional Detective Bill Shafer says Wistort's chiropractic license had expired Sunday, while other documents suggest he had been contemplating suicide.
However, Shafer says police don't plan to make other details of his situation public.
