HOKENDAUQUA (AP) -- Authorities say the son of a Pennsylvania police chief was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at Lehigh County Detectives.
WFMZ-TV reports that 22-year-old Christopher Fitzgerald was arrested Friday night after what authorities described as a road rage incident.
Fitzgerald is accused of pulling a gun on two detectives after he allegedly "brake-checked" the detectives several times. Police later found the suspect stopped in the parking lot of a nearby mall.
Court records show that Fitzgerald is facing several charges including simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. He was released on bail Saturday.
Allentown Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald declined to comment on his son's arrest when reached by WFMZ-TV Sunday morning. The son's attorney was not immediately available for comment on Sunday.
