PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A teenage boy has been charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after police say he organized a large group bike ride on a major thoroughfare in Philadelphia.
Pennsylvania State Police say the 16-year-old was arrested Thursday. They did not release his name.
Police estimate that hundreds of people rode down Interstate 676, known as the Vine Street Expressway, on Sunday at the teen's urging. There no were reports of accidents or injuries during the ride.
Police have not announced charges against any of the other cyclists.
