LEVITTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- Police say a pickup truck has crashed through a Philadelphia-area home, ending up near the bed of a 93-year-old hospice patient who later died.
Authorities in Bucks County say the truck inflicted heavy damage on the Bristol Township home when it struck the corner of it shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday.
Police say resident Jenny Russo was lying in bed near the point of impact and died a few hours later. Her cause of death was not immediately clear.
Interim police chief Ralph Johnson says a damaged truck located Friday afternoon in Bristol matched parts from the crash.
He says a person believed to be the driver turned himself in at a nearby gas station and is being interviewed at police headquarters.
