This video, which apparently originated in Russia, has been making its rounds on the web over the past few days. It shows an attentive dog's reaction to seeing his owner doing a bit of a "dead man's float" in a pond. As you'll see, the dog not only jumps in to save his owner, but the canine grabs a hold of his hand and swims him to shore. Some commenters on web have suggested that this all may have been a trick for video -- a dog trained to do exactly what he did, and not one reacting heroically to his owner's seemingly troubled state.
