SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — A pregnant woman says she was humiliated at a Santa Fe Wal-Mart after an employee suspected her of shoplifting.
Patricia Pautke told Albuquerque's KOB-TV (http://bit.ly/2fm9ANB ) on Friday that she was stopped by an employee as she was leaving the store on Halloween.
According to Pautke, the male worker made her lift up her in front of other employees and customers to prove she wasn't hiding any merchandise.
Pautke filed a police report this week and has since received an apology from a manager.
In a statement, Wal-Mart says it is looking into the incident and will take appropriate action.
Pautke, meanwhile, says she has no plans to return to that Wal-Mart for fear of running into that employee.
