Bloom police seek tips in weekend assaults

BLOOMSBURG — Town Police are investigating two separate assaults early Sunday, around 1:30 a.m.

A 60-year-old man sustained significant facial injuries in the first on the 400 block of Chestnut Avenue, a police release says. In the second, three people were hurt: two victims with minor injuries and a third with significant facial injuries.

In both cases, a group of individuals fled the area immediately following the assault. Police are requesting assistance from the public. Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to call the Bloomsburg Police Department at 570-784-6779.
