BLOOMSBURG - A robber pointed a gun at a 62-year-old Bloomsburg man walking to work early Wednesday and demanded money, police say.

A black man showed a pistol and demanded money along East Street at 5 a.m., a release states.

The victim, whom police have not identified, gave his wallet with $60 and his cell phone to the robber, then continued to his workplace, where he called police. The assailant fled on foot with another black man; police did not have other details about their clothes or distinguishing features.

The victim was not injured but was badly shaken up, Detective Melanie Readler noted.

Police urge residents to be vigilant of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity at once.
