Cops: Thief stole $20G worth of lawnmowers in a stolen pickup

SOUTH CENTRE TWP. — A thief used a stolen pickup to steal three zero-turn grass mowers and a 16-foot trailer from C.H. Waltz and Sons mower dealership early Wednesday.

South Centre Township Police say a red Exmark 60-inch mower, an orange Kubota 54-inch mower, an orange Kubota 60-inch mower and a black 16-foot trailer were stolen from C.H. Waltz’s sales lot on Industrial Drive around 1 a.m. Wednesday. The stolen equipment was worth about $20,000 total.

The pickup used in the burglary was stolen earlier from Heller’s Gas in Scott Township. 

Police describe that pickup as a red 2003 Ford F-250 extended cab with silver trim with license plate number YMK709.

The trailer also had a license plate: XGT424.
