SALEM TWP. — Police here are asking the public for help finding a burglar or burglars who stole two shotguns and some costume jewelry.

The break-in at 415 Moores Hill Road Monday took place between about 10 a.m. and noon, said Chief Bob Kishbaugh.

As the thieves escaped, their car — a light-green Nissan Sentra — hit an object in the driveway, ripping off the passenger’s side from mud guard. The car model was between 2007 and 2012, he said; the vehicle will have minor damage around the front passenger-side wheel.

The guns were 12-gauge Remington shotguns, he said.

Anyone with information about the burglary should call Salem Township Police at 570-752-3772 or county dispatchers at 570-819-4916.
