MIFFLIN TWP. — A contractor is scheduled to continue working on Interstate 80 eastbound here every night this week, weather permitting.
The work was set to start at 9 p.m. Sunday, and will continue each night from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. through Friday morning, said PennDOT officials in Montoursville.
During that time, there will be alternating lane closures.
This work is part of a $3.1 million project that includes shoulder patching in both eastbound and westbound directions of I-80 between Buckhorn and Berwick, milling and paving on I-80 eastbound from Mifflinville to the Luzerne County line, and drainage work near the Columbia County rest area at the Luzerne County line.
Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College is the prime contractor.
