SUGARLOAF TWP. – A contractor is expected to perform blasting associated with gas pipeline work along two roads in Columbia County this afternoon and tomorrow, PennDOT says.

A single blast will occur today along Camp Lavigne Road in Sugarloaf Township.

There will be a single blast Saturday as well, this time along Route 239 in Jackson Township.

Blasts are expected to be performed each day during the mid-afternoon.

This work will be well off the road and is not expected to impact the roadway. However, traffic will be stopped for several minutes with flaggers providing traffic control.
