MIFFLINVILLE -- Police were searching for a masked man who flashed a knife at a store clerk at the Mifflinville Market and made off with cash from the register Saturday evening. Police said the man stepped up to the counter around 6:33 p.m. with a pack of cough drops as if he was going to check out. Instead, he pulled out a knife and demanded money, police say. He ran out of the store with the cash. It was unclear if he went from there on foot or in a car. Police were able to retrieve footage of the man in the store from a surveillance camera. South Centre Township Police say the man appears to be 20 to 22 years old. He stands between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, and was wearing black or navy blue Adidas wind pants with white strips, black and white shoes, a black jacket with a gray hood underneath and a gray mask. Anyone with information about this robbery contact the South Centre Township Police Department 570-784-8552.
