Hundreds of residents are still without power this morning after Sunday's unexpected snowstorm pummeled the region with ice and slush. According to PPL, 1,180 customers are currently without power in Columbia County, mostly centered in Mifflin, Cleveland, and Jackson townships. The outages shuttered both Interstate 80 rest stops locally near Mifflinville . In Montour County, another 72 were in the dark, mostly in Cooper Township. For more detailed information on the outages in your area, click here. The storm also shuttered several roads in Columbia County. Downed power lines closed off Southern Drive from Route 54 to Southern Columbia High School and Hidlay Church Road from South Centre Township to Fowlersville Road in adjoining North Centre Township. Downed lines also shuttered Sycamore Road from Main Street in Catawissa to Mainville Drive in Main Township. But Route 487 at Keiss Equipment in Fishing Creek Township was just reopened after being closed down for a crash this morning. We have more on the wreck here.
