BERWICK — A man pointed a gun at a clerk and stole more than thousand dollars worth of lottery tickets from a West Front Street gas station here Sunday morning.
He then ran off toward the Park Place Village housing development behind the gas station.
Now police are looking for a man clerk Pratham Patel descibed as a White man around his 20s, last seen wearing a green hoodie, black pants, gray shoes, black gloves and a black mask.
Patel said he was working behind the counter of the Sunoco gas station at the intersection of West Front Street and Park Boulevard when the man entered with what appeared to be a handgun with a laser sight. He pointed his gun at Patel and grabbed about $1,200 worth of lottery tickets from the counter, Patel said.
The masked man ran out of the gas station and into an open field behind it that separates the gas station from the houses along Park Boulevard, the clerk said.
Officers from Berwick and South Centre Township, along with State Police troopers circled through the area after the robbery, bringing out a police dog to search the area and nearby Louis Stevens Park.
