HEMLOCK TWP. — Police are looking for a driver who turned into the path of a motorcyclist Saturday, then fled after the bike hit his car.

Gary Kressler, 72, was riding a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle south on Buckhorn Road at about 2:30 p.m. when a northbound car tried to enter the truck parking lot of Travel Centers of America, turning left into his path, said Ptlm. Harold Morris.

The car’s driver didn’t stop, instead heading north on Buckhorn Road and disappearing, police said.

Kressler, who was wearing his helmet, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital.

His motorcycle had minor damage.

The car was a dark red vehicle, either a Toyota Corolla or something similar, with a male driver, police said. It should show damage on its passenger side.

Morris asked anyone who might know the identity of the hit and run driver to call him at 570-784-6543.

Buckhorn Fire Department, QRS and Bloomsburg Ambulance assisted at the scene.
