BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble's performance of "Romeo & Juliet" slated for today at 2 p.m. has been cancelled as snow continues to blanket the region.
BTE's 7:30 p.m. performance is still expected to go on for now, but could be cancelled or postponed closer to curtain time, a spokeswoman said.
If you have tickets for either of these performances and would like to exchange them, call the BTE Box Office at 570-784-8181 or at boxoffice@bte.org. The theatre is offering exchanges for any of the performances next week: Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
More closing and cancellations
Weis Markets in Bloomsburg, Berwick, and Danville will be closing at 2 p.m. today, and the Montour-Delong all-you-can-eat fish fry, which was scheduled for today from 3-7 p.m. is canceled.
The reception planned at Artspace Gallery tonight to kick off the first show of the season, Artist and Model, has been rescheduled to Feb. 20 from 6-8 p.m.
A winter storm warning remains in effect for the area until 6 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
