BLOOMSBURG -- Police have closed several roads in Bloomsburg and Danville due to "ongoing issues" with the heavy snowfall, police say. Riverhill Drive, between Bloomsburg and Catawissa, has been shut down. Traffic on the Bloomsburg side will not be allowed to cross the bridge, and instead will be rerouted onto Fort McClure Boulevard. Motorists are also discouraged from using Mainville Drive, since PennDot has not yet cleared that road. A portion of Route 54 in Danville, known as the Narrows, is also shut down, according to the Stonington State Police. There have been "ongoing issues," there since early this morning, including stuck vehicles and snow slides off the mountain, police say. A winter storm warning remains in effect until 10 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
