SCOTT TWP. — A wanted man led police on a high-speed pursuit that spanned two counties and lasted at least 20 minutes Tuesday night, authorities say.

At the end of the chase, officers found Justin Luczak’s car abandoned and his passenger, said Columbia County Sheriff Tim Chamberlain.

Luczak, however, was in the wind.

On Wednesday, authorities were still looking for the Berwick-area man.

A warrant was issued after he failed to show up for his day in court Jan. 25; he was slated to be sentenced for two felony drug cases for selling heroin in Scott Township last April and May, records show.

But on Tuesday night, the chase started out with a more rudimentary infraction — authorities were just trying to issue a traffic citation when Luczak made his escape, they said.

Anyone with information on Luczak's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Department, 570-389-5622, or Columbia County dispatchers, 570-784-6300.

Check back for more details on the pursuit.
