BERWICK — Tonight’s Wilkes-Barre at Berwick high school football game has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns in the Wilkes-Barre school district.

The announcement was made early Saturday morning.

“Wilkes-Barre is shutting down (all athletics) for 14 days,” Berwick athletic director Bo Orlando said in a text message to the Press Enterprise.

It’s the second time Berwick has had a game canceled due to the pandemic this season. The Bulldogs’ game with Wyoming Valley West was also canceled while Berwick dealt with its own COVID-19 concerns in the school district earlier this season.

Check tomorrow’s Press Enterprise for more details.
