DANVILLE —Traffic is backed up on Interstate 80 due to a crash 2.2 miles east of the Danville exit, PennDOT reported at 11:23 a.m. Friday. Lanes are restricted; traffic was backed up from two miles east of Limestoneville to Buckhorn.

PennDOT reported a jack-knifed tractor-trailer in Montour County on the interstate at 6 a.m.; it's unclear if that's the same accident clogging the road later that morning.

The department had reduced speeds on I-80 as well as Routes 11, 15 and 220, allowing vehicles to go no more the 45 miles per hour due to the snow and sleet burying the region. Speed limits returned to normal around 9:15 a.m.

Plows were treating the roads throught the storm, PennDOT said.
