SALEM TWP. — State Police are asking the public for help finding a missing woman they say is endangered, even as they and firefighters searched the Susquehanna Riverlands trails and the nearby river for her.

Linda Carmella Shaw, 63, of Cope Road, Shickshinny, has been missing since 11:30 a.m. Monday, said Tpr. Jeffrey Miller in a report released late Monday night.

Shaw, originally from Huntington Township, was last seen near the Susquehanna River here, troopers said.

She was wearing blue jeans, a long gray hooded sweatshirt, and light-colored sneakers.

Shaw is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes, State Police said.

Miller asked anyone who has information about what happened to her or where she is to call the Shickshinny barracks at 570-542-4117.

Salem Township Police confirmed Shaw is the missing person that rescuers were trying to find at the popular park Monday night and Tuesday.

Susan Schwartz covers the Berwick area. She can be reached at 570-387-1234, ext. 1306, and susan.schwartz@pressenterprise.net
