Man charged in National Guard shooting pleads not guilty during court appearance from hospital bed
WASHINGTON (AP) — A man accused of shooting two National Guard troops near the White House pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to murder and assault charges during his first appearance before a judge, appearing remotely by video from a hospital bed.
Pileup snarls traffic on Interstate
DANVILLE – An eight-car pileup on Interstate 80 west shut down the highway for more than four hours between the Danville and Limestoneville exits,fire officials said.
Valley Township Fire Chief Matt Gum said the pileup on the interstate caused one serious and several minor injuries around 8:15 a.m. Two tractor trailers, one box truck and five passenger vehicles were involved in the accident about six miles west of the Danville exit.
