BLOOMSBURG -- A vandal has been spray-painting the word "Gnome" on multiple buildings downtown over the past year, said Ptlm. Matt Golla. And police think he may have finally done it in view of a video camera.
Earlier this month, on Sept. 6, a surveillance camera spotted a man casually walk up to a building in the 100 block of West Ridge Avenue after midnight and spray paint it.
The police posted the video Tuesday.
Worker at fair has head caught in Sky Ride
BLOOMSBURG -- A midway worker doing a final inspection on the Bloomsburg Fair's Sky Ride "is lucky to have his head" after it got stuck between a wheel pulling the ride's steel cord and a metal support bar, said the town's rescue chief.
Brae Landis, 23, a Reithoffer Amusements employee from Oregon, was inspecting the Sky Ride from a hanging basket around 8:45 a.m. with a state ride inspector when his sweatshirt got caught in one of the overhead wheels, which pulled him in, said Fair Security Director Bill Barratt.
