* The town police chief defends the use of the Bearcat anti-terrorism vehicle in an effort to disperse unruly Block Party revelers. Reporter Julye Wemple has more.

* A homeless man was fueled up on the controversial and potent malt liquor Four Loko when he swung at an officer and threatened to kill another, police say.
