BERWICK --A 16-year-old boy has been missing since Nov. 6, and State Police are asking for the public's help finding him. Olen Berry went to school in early November, but never returned home, said Tpr. Kenneth Houck. Since then, people have sporadically reported seeing him in the Berwick area. In early February, a high school counselor reported seeing him at Morris Family Restaurant. But officials haven't been able to find him. "The fact that he is a minor, with no viable means of legitimate income or ability to care for himself gives the potential for exploitation," Houck said. "I think he probably has a roof over his head. But the danger lies in potentially what he's doing in exchange." If he is found, the runaway teen would be turned over to Children and Youth, he said. Houck said the boy is white, about 6 feet tall, and thin, weighing about 170 pounds. He wears glasses and has very short, brown hair, sometimes almost shaved. He has green eyes. His description has also been turned over to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which made posters about the teen. Anyone with information about Olen's whereabouts should call State Police at 570-387-4261 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
