BLOOMSBURG — A ventriloquist was supposed to be one of the Bloomsburg Fair grandstand’s biggest draws this year, but officials announced Tuesday that Paul Zerdin had canceled his Oct. 1 show.
Fair President Paul Reichart said Zerdin gave no reason for the cancellation. Within the next few days, the grandstand office will begin calling those who have bought tickets to issue a refund, Reichart said.
Reichart said the fair is working to replace Zerdin, but he said fairgoers shouldn’t expect a similar show.
“It’s going to be something completely different,” Reichart said.
This isn’t the first time the fair has faced last-minute cancellations. In 2014, the Robertsons of “Duck Dynasty” and ZZ Top both pulled out of their shows weeks before the Fair.
