PUBLIC HEARING The Board of Supervisors of Salem Township will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Salem Township Administration Building, 38 Bomboy Lane, Berwick, Pennsylvania, to consider and possibly act on an application from Amazon Data Services for a proposed zoning text and map amendment to create an SDC-O Special Data Center Overlay District. The SDC-O Special Data Center Overlay District allows a controlled development of a Data Center Campus through a Master Plan process. The Master Plan process allows for planned development of the full campus over a period of time in a manner that presently does not exist under the current Salem Township Zoning Ordinance. Interested parties or their legal representatives may attend and present testimony and/or ask questions. Township Planning Commission; at a meeting on Thursday April 25, 2024, after reviewing all information and the application a vote for recommendation of approval of the application be forwarded to the Township Supervisors. Luzerne County Planning Commission; has reviewed the documents and the application and had no comment on the application.
